Because of this, Hedgecraft not only utilizes ritual tools and spaces in its practice, but also strongly incorporates visualization and meditation techniques, often referred to as spirit journeying or spirit walking. These spirit journeying sessions can be performed both individually and in guided group settings. This means that every ritual hosted by the World Tree Circle will include a guided group spirit journeying session.

Here is some information about your ritual presenter:
Matthew Johnson is a practicing Shaman and the High Priest of The World Tree Open Circle. Matthew has been a Craft practitioner and follower of earth-based spirituality for over 20 years. He is also the teacher and event organizer for the free “New To The Community” class that takes place at Crone’s Hollow on the second Friday of each month at 7pm. Matthew is also the founder and organizer of The World Tree Open Circle, which periodically hosts rituals for the community.

Matthew’s background in teaching and hosting community rituals extends to his time in the U.S. Army, where he was also responsible for running and organizing the only pagan/witchcraft Open Circle for earth-based spiritual paths and traditions in the country of Kuwait, during his deployment with the U.S. Army for Operation Enduring Freedom. In this role, Matthew represented and advocated for many different groups of pagans and practitioners of various witchcraft and occult traditions ensuring interfaith representation and peaceful collaboration with the various branches of The United States Military.
